Have you ever felt out of place? Like you clearly didn't belong somewhere or never really fit in? That has been the story of my life.
I've always been a traveler, wandering from place to place trying to find my spot in this world, and I've certainly made the mistake of trying to force myself to fit in or be "right for the job."
Truth is, if we trying to squeeze into spaces that we weren't designed to fit in the first place, we'll end up uncomfortable, anxious, unhappy, and unfulfilled.
We have to stop denying ourselves the freedom to live, to explore our passions, and to enjoy the present moment. When you wake up and dread or feel sad before the day even starts, something is wrong. You must reevaluate life.
In the movie Mean Girls, a character was trying to make the word "fetch" a new catchphrase for the word "cool." Obviously it didn't work because the character was told to stop trying to make fetch happen. It was never going to catch on.
It's the same with life. That job, that industry, that friendship, whatever, stop forcing it to happen. You know exactly what's for you and what's not. The more time you spend on things that aren't for you, you're pulling time away for the things you were created to pursue.
Time to turn a new leaf and get serious about your direction in life.
