211. Dear Introvert

Dear Introvert,

There's nothing wrong with you. You don't need to cured. You don't need to feel bad about being you.

You cherish your alone time.

You're a bit quieter than others.

You're a deep thinker.

Small talk may not be your thing, but you enjoy deeper conversations on a personal level.

You're often misunderstood, and that's okay.

The beauty about being misunderstood is that you actually take time to understand others.

You're introspective and considerate.

You're a get-to-the-point type of person, and you like to get the job done.

You're a blast to be around when you get comfortable.

When the group is too large, you might retreat in your shell a bit.

You do like contributing to conversations when you feel like you have something valuable to add.

You're amazing when you're operating in your gift.

You're highly structured.

You feel the stings of people's opinions when they accuse you of being rude or stuck-up. We know you're just reserved and would rather understand your environment and the kind of people you're around before jumping in. You're not with being "on" all the time.

You are not a mistake. You do not have to pretend to be anyone else. You provide the balance in an extroverted, outgoing world.

Embrace who you are. Embrace the journey. And don't worry, you're in good company. Here are some examples of powerful introverts:

  • Beyonce

  • JK Rowling

  • Bill Gates

  • Albert Einstein

  • Rosa Parks

  • Warren Buffet

  • Audrey Hepburn

  • Gandhi

  • Michael Jordan

Be who you are. Wear it proudly. #IntrovertsUnite
