171. The BU Squad

This is a weekend I'm spending time with family. And what a way to kick things off than with a group of inspiring people I've connected with?

For the past 3 months, I've been a part of a motivating community called Breathe University (BU). BU is like a mastermind network of determined individuals ready to take their life, business, and relationships to higher levels. It is spearheaded by speaking phenom Dr. Eric Thomas.

If you do not know who ET is, all I have to say is one video changed my entire world. My ENTIRE world. I have always been into motivation material. But, the moment I watched an ET video, I was actually moved to action. Consistent action. Talk about life-changing.

On this day, I went to a local BU meetup and had an awesome, amazing time. We discussed attending Dr. Eric Thomas's conference coming up in Houston called Stay Ready. This conference features successful entrepreneurs and community leaders shelving out nuggets of wisdom about getting to the next level.

One thing I've learned over the years is that it's incredibly difficult to find like-minded individuals to hang around with day to day. Seriously. There are just so many people who just fall in such a routine in their lives that they find themselves on a hamster wheel, going in circles and never going anywhere.

It's a whole different experience to find people in your circle to jump off the wheel. To walk the unbeatened path. To embark on a journey that most are afraid to explore.

Like-minded people in your circle lets you know that you're not alone in the world. The odd, risk-taking, ambitious mindset you have may be an anomaly to your ever day acquaintances but is shared and admired by your motivation squad.

Let's get connected. Let's uplift each other. Let's continue to inspire and encourage. One unit.
