73. Holistic Success

You have to get tired. You have to get fed up. You have to come to a point where you say, "Enough is enough." Your life may not look the way you want it to at the moment, but there's something about it that must push you to the place you want to be.

I'm not the only one who feels like that sometimes. Whether it's a challenging day, a financial situation, a health issue, a difficult co-worker, whatever, something has to push you over the edge enough to make you want to throw your ENTIRE SELF into whatever dream, goal, or vision that you have, and find success in any way you see fit.

Success, in and of itself, is an arbitrary definition. However, I define success as being a holistic experience of health, wealth, and wellness in all areas of life.

What does it truly mean to have financial abundance if you're lacking in the relationship department? What does it mean to travel the world but not be welcomed in your own country? What does it mean to have a degree if it's never utilized? What does it mean to receive an inheritance when you don't have the knowledge to properly sustain it?I'll tell you. It means absolutely nothing. At least it doesn't for me.

Success is holistic. It is using our gifts and talents to uplift others and ourselves, to be fulfilled with our purpose, to better society in some way, to be healthy and whole, to be loved and to love back, to possess, maintain, and cheerfully give.

I am one of those crazy people that believe you can have it all. I'm also one of those crazy people who will not stop going after what I want -- holistic success-- even after I felt I have "achieved it." Life is a continuous journey, a steady uphill climb. You will never reach your destination at the top of the mountain and think it'll be okay to just kick back and chill.

For, as long as you're alive, your destiny will tie into constantly improving yourself and doing right by the world.

Define success for yourself, and spend every waking moment going after it.
