39. Keep Moving Forward

Somebody's first day of the new year didn't go as planned. Someone might've woke up with a headache, another was reminded they were late on their bills, or a person might've experienced some unforeseen emergency. It doesn't matter. If there's one thing we know it's that everything won't always work the way you want them to. We cannot control what happens to us; we can only control the way we react to the wind life blows our way.

The two previous months have certainly been up and down for me. But, I choose to see all of my life's experiences as opportunities, even the challenges. One thing I've learned in 2016 is that if we keep a level head and see each moment as an opportunity to learn, we'll have more good days than not so good ones. We'll also not waste time wallowing in sorrow.

Instead, we'll pick ourselves up and keep moving forward.

I love this movie. The theme: forward movement.

So, if your New Year started off on the right foot than kudos to you, but life will not hesitate to throw you a curve ball. If the New Year didn't begin so well, it's okay. Stash the moment in your mind or in a journal -- my preference. Refer back to it when things don't go as planned. This is just to test your resilience and strength -- to maximize your growth as a human being.

Be steady. Be consistent. Keep Moving Forward.
