You Have Every Tool You Need to Succeed

In many instances, we are limited in our resources on purpose.

I know I'm not the only person that has said at least one of the following in my lifetime:

  • If I only had x amount of money

  • If I only knew  (insert random celeb here)

  • If only I could just move to (insert major metropolitan US area)

  • If only I was the one who created (insert wildly successful book/platform/product)

  • If only I got x amount more "followers"

And the list goes on.

Sometimes we as humans feel like our lives will more successful, less stressful, and more fulfilling if we had more. More can mean anything: money, connections in our network, access, material possessions, opportunities, etc. I'm here to tell you: It's not true.

Just like it says above:

In many instances, we are limited in our resources on purpose.

Jonathan Malm, author of "Created for More" sums this up perfectly in his daily devotional for creatives. He says:

"Many of us equate limitations with hindrances. When we don't have enough time, finances, or resources, we resort to complaining and wishing we had more. But God has given you everything you need to do His will. When we're willing to work within the limitations and we find success, He gets the glory -- not us."

That spoke to me tremendously and made me appreciate every single blessing I already have. Yes, I want to be a bestselling author, but instead of sitting around complaining about not having access to various publishing opportunities, I could actually open up my computer and just write. Figure out a way to get it done.

I said all this to say: You are blessed. Yes we have trials, tribulations, and challenges that threaten to slow us down or stop us along the way, but we have every single resource we need to get started right now and find success on our own path.

Keep moving forward.
