Building a Team

If there's one thing I've learned on this creative writing journey is that I can't do everything by myself. I only have two hands and one brain and can only accomplish so much as a solo act. Of course I'm alone when writing my stories, but what happens after that? I'll tell you what happens -- nothing.

Truth is:

You can't build a successful business alone.

This is something I've struggled with over the years. I've tried convincing myself that if I just kept my head down, worked consistently, and never gave up that I'd be where I've always wanted. Well, you can see how far that's gotten me.

Although I'm just starting this new adventure, I'm well aware of how limited I am as a one person army. It's also safe to say bouncing ideas off of like-minded people is critical for success.

I'm praying that one day I can join forces with a crew of ambitious, brilliant, determined, consistent, and loyal individuals and collaborate on projects that will change the world forever. But for now I'll keep my search going for the following:

  • An audio/podcast producer/sound mixer

  • indie music producer (in need of music for podcast)

  • beta readers

  • marketing strategist

  • book publishing consultant

Until then I will keep researching and explore my existing contacts. It'll all work out. I have faith that it will.
